Grant Harold's music breathes through incredibly strong feelings: smiles that can't get loud enough, tragedy and sadness that could never have in a million years been predicted, utopian longings, and daydreams that can't be described with words and will only exist in the outside world through sound. Most often, Harold's moment of ideation originates as a drop of water on a cupped leaf while under storm clouds. Born in Portland, Grant's never felt the desire to live anywhere else, finding plenty of inspiration and creativity flowing through the streets. He finds teachers in people who are totally immersed in their field (poets, illustrators, philosophers) - enough so that the amount of time they spend in "the zone" indeed rubs off on him. Everyone's stories - even their quirks, past and present, guide the creativity and keep him inspired.
